“Trust me” sounds like good news. Someone has thought it through, knows where to go, and you can catch your breath for a moment. Then you read on: “I also have questions.”
That makes things more interesting.
“Trust me, I also have questions.” is a sentence for someone who can laugh a little at their own confident expression. Sometimes there is a plan, but one important detail is still unresolved. Sometimes you understand the big picture, but before getting started you would like to clarify what someone meant by “just”. We’ll just get it done. We’ll just connect it up. We’ll just see how it goes.
That last one can raise quite a few questions.
It gets honest after the comma
The first line on the shirt makes a promise. The other two add a small qualification. The person asking is still there too, with their doubts and observations.
There is a familiar kind of self-irony in that. Like the moment when someone has been explaining something for five minutes and you would like to say you lost the thread at the third sentence. You can nod quietly and pin your hopes on the next slide. Or you can ask. Sometimes it is quite a relief when someone else gets there first.
The word “also” on the shirt does its small part here. I also have questions. It leaves room for the other person and their unfinished thought. The conversation can continue from there.

Black or white. The same sentence, the same dry twist.
Three lines and one important comma
The lettering forms a compact block on the chest:
TRUST ME,
I ALSO HAVE
QUESTIONS.
The bold lettering begins quite decisively. Then your eye reaches the final line and that initial confidence takes on another shade. “QUESTIONS.” stands on its own, full stop included. The questions exist. There is nothing more to say about that for now.
The lettering is white on the black shirt and black on the white one. There is space around the design, and the entire sentence sits on the chest as one whole. You can wear it with jeans or under an open overshirt without making putting an outfit together a project of its own. The message brings your humour to a simple outfit.
That small shift fits the idea behind Blacksunset: wearing a sentence in which you recognise something of yourself. Some messages say exactly what you are already thinking. This one reaches an honest agreement with itself halfway through.
If someone has already come to mind
This sentence can be worn by someone who asks a lot of questions. Just as easily by someone who listens for a long time and finally wants to clarify one thing. You do not have to decide which kind of person they are from the shirt. The wearer can give it their own meaning.
When looking for a gift, that is a good place to start: did one particular person come to mind as you read it? Perhaps a friend whose advice begins with great confidence and ends with an honest laugh. Perhaps someone who knows how to ask the simplest question in the middle of a serious discussion. Show them the sentence. If it is their kind of humour, the gift idea is already fairly clear.

The same thought in a women’s cut. The size chart on the product page will help you choose the right size.
Some questions can remain
A good sentence on a shirt does not have to explain its wearer completely. It is enough for it to feel like them. “Trust me, I also have questions.” leaves one small thing open: do you know the answer right now, or are you looking for it with everyone else?
You cannot tell by looking at the shirt. You will have to ask.
If you would like to wear that thought, the “Trust Me, I Also Have Questions” T-shirt product page offers black and white options in Unisex and women’s cuts. You will also find the size chart, price and currently available sizes there, making the next choice a little easier.
