We are well past the shop opening deadline. Again.

Opening soon. Again.

Last year, we promised to open the shop in September. In reality, we did not get there until October. This year, everything was supposed to be open again on 15 September.

Today is 18 September and you still cannot place an order. It seems we have found one thing we can be consistent about. We could, of course, have chosen something else.

Coming back takes time

We spent 75 days away from Estonia. After that long away, settling back into life here and getting myself going again has taken more time than I allowed for when I set the opening date.

I just have not got going yet. The intention is there, and so is the work that needs doing, but my usual momentum has not caught up. The days go by until I look at the date and find myself writing another post about why the shop still is not open.

We will open soon. I am not adding another date here just now. I am still dealing with the last one.

Expect a longer wait at first

This time, reopening comes with a small qualification: you will be able to place orders, but the first ones will take longer to arrive than usual.

We do not currently have any products in stock. We may only place our stock order after the shop opens. Once we place that order, it may take about another week for the supplies to arrive before we can start making and dispatching your order. Delivery time comes on top of that.

Plenty of room in the stockroom.

So please allow a little extra time for those first orders. I want to say this now, so that the shop reopening does not create the expectation that our usual dispatch times will return at the very same moment.

The making itself is quick. We have professional equipment, and I can make about 70 T-shirts on my own in eight hours. That still leaves room for a few customer emails and other jobs in between.

Getting myself started has turned out to be a much slower job.

There is something new coming too

There will definitely be something new this year. We are also opening an interesting shop, but I am not saying any more about it just yet. That stays a secret for now.

A new shop. That is all we are saying.

There are stories to tell about those 75 days, the summer adventures and the holiday too. They will get their own posts. There is no need to squeeze everything into one explanation for a late shop opening.

The summer stories can wait until next time.

For now, we are getting going again. Thank you for waiting, even though the calendar says you should already have been able to order.
