The shop is open. Stock is in, and you can order. It took us a strangely long time to get around to writing that sentence this year. The holiday ended. Our holiday mood carried on for quite a while.
In the previous post, we admitted that we had missed the reopening date again. Now we can at least write the next part of that story. We are open. Getting ourselves going has been considerably harder than we imagined before the holiday.
One order got there before we did
When we returned to Estonia, an order from a youth centre in Tartu was already waiting for us. It has become a lovely tradition. I cannot remember exactly how many years in a row this has happened, but it has been several.
And I am so pleased about it. You come back from a holiday, try to get your head back into work, and someone has already decided they want to work with you again. That means a lot. Especially when your own momentum is still catching up.
Thank you for that. The pace of getting back to work probably does not qualify as a good tradition. Your order certainly does.
The website got a new look along the way
Somewhere in all of this, we also updated the website. I do not have a particularly convincing explanation for why. We like how it looks now. Sometimes that is where the explanation begins and ends.
This design will probably last until the next holiday. Then we will come back, look at the site and have another idea. Perhaps that is where the urge to redesign comes from: after a break, you want to do something differently. Getting yourself started takes time. With a website, at least there is something you can click.
We have also added new designs, with more to come. So if you have not had a reason to visit the shop for a while, now is a good time to have a look. The site has changed, and the selection is growing.

There is one thing we do not want to gloss over in a reopening post. We still owe stock to several of our retail partners. You are waiting for us, and we are sorry about that.
A big thank you for sticking with us. And an apology alongside it for keeping you waiting so long. Saying thank you is easy. The stock you are waiting for still needs to reach you.
Honestly, getting going again has been unusually difficult this year. There is no point dressing that up. The shop is open now, but unfinished work does not disappear when you press the opening button. We still have to get on with it.
It is good to be back, though. Especially knowing that someone was waiting. Some with an order, some for their stock. Thank you for staying with us, even when it takes us longer to find our rhythm again.
