PLEASE DON’T INTERRUPT ME WHILE I’M JUDGING YOU: your inner monologue is now readable

You do it. I do it. We all do it.

Someone is talking and you’re listening. Or rather, you listen to half a sentence, then your mind goes its own way. You categorise. You judge. You rank. You look for a counterargument you’ll never say out loud. That’s your inner monologue, and it’s always at work.

This shirt puts it on fabric.

Two points of emphasis

‘PLEASE DON’T INTERRUPT ME WHILE I’M JUDGING YOU’ is a long sentence. But it works because the emphasis falls in two places: INTERRUPT and JUDGING YOU. The tension between them does all the work.

INTERRUPT: you’re disrupting my process. I’m in the middle of something. I’m working.

JUDGING YOU: and you are the work.

It’s like a therapist’s notebook, only on your chest. You can’t read it without smiling, and you can’t smile without recognising that you do exactly the same thing.

Judging You T-shirt in black

Irony without the bite

The sentence sounds cutting, but it isn’t. It’s honest. And there’s an important difference.

There are other sharp shirts in the Blacksunset catalogue. ‘No Time For Bullshit’ is blunt and unapologetic. ‘Thank My Middle Finger’ is a provocative gesture. Those shirts say ‘I don’t care’. ‘Judging You’ doesn’t say that. It says: ‘I care too much. I’m analysing you right now.’

It’s an introvert’s sarcasm. Quiet, unaggressive and precise. And precision is funnier than volume.

Typography that speaks

The design puts typographic emphasis in two places. The sentence isn’t just a uniform line of text. The visual accents are arranged so your eye goes straight where it needs to.

You don’t read the whole sentence at once. You read the emphasised words first, then the rest.

It’s the same approach used in ‘Seems Like a True Story’, where two sentences work as a setup and a punchline. In ‘Judging You’, the setup is longer, but the punchline is just as clear: the last two words land.

Who it’s for

Fans of sarcasm. People whose inner monologue deserves an audience. People who laugh at stand-up comedy because the observation is accurate, not just because the joke is good.

And as a gift, it’s for someone who appreciates both that you know them and that you dare to say so.

Black fabric, white text. White fabric, black text. Tee Jays Sof Tee, 185 g/m². Unisex and women’s cuts. S to 2XL. €30.

Also available with a reflective print. Because the judging doesn’t stop after dark.
