Colour T-Shirts – The Other Side of Blacksunset You Did Not Expect

If you know Blacksunset, you know black and white. Minimal typography, sharp messages, Shift Theory, quiet force. That is still our backbone, and it is not changing.

But a person is never just one side.

There is another side that does not fit into a black-and-white frame: longboards on sand, sky at sunset, city-to-coast energy, and designs that feel alive without being loud. This is where the colour collection comes from.

Designs That Speak in More Than One Visual Language

Our black-and-white line is typography-first. Words carry most of the weight. In the colour line, we widen the toolkit.

Illustration-led pieces. “Summer ’72 Surfer Sunset” brings retro poster energy to a t-shirt: warm tones, sea palette, and a scene that communicates mood before text.

Photo-led graphics. “Thank My Middle Finger” and “Kolmas Kasi Ei Valeta” use photographic elements with a rougher, street-level edge. The point is not decoration – the point is atmosphere with attitude.

This is not random experimentation. It is the same brand voice, translated into a wider visual range.

Why This Category Exists

Blacksunset has always stood for saying more with less. That rule still applies here, but with a different temperature.

The monochrome line is focused and stripped back. The colour line is freer, warmer, sometimes ironic. Not a different company, not a rebrand – just the same voice in a different mode.

Some people will love only monochrome. Some will only wear colour. Both are valid. The important part is that each design still has intention and editorial clarity.

Different Fabric, Same Standard

Colour collection pieces are built on Stanley/Stella Creator 2.0.

100% GOTS-certified organic cotton. This is an audited textile standard across the supply chain, not green marketing copy.

Combed ring-spun cotton, 180 g/m2. A balanced fabric weight: substantial enough to feel premium, light enough for regular use.

Wider colour range. Creator 2.0 gives us access to shades that are hard to build with on narrower blank programs.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100. The fabric is tested for harmful substances, like the rest of our quality-led lines.

Two Sides, One Brand

Are we becoming a surf brand? No. We are still a message brand.

Sometimes the message is minimal and direct. Sometimes it is visual, ironic, and sun-warmed. Both belong to the same identity.

That is exactly why this collection works: it expands the language without losing the standard.

What Comes Next

There are currently three colour designs live, with more coming across illustration, photo work, and graphic concepts. The release logic stays the same: fewer drops, stronger decisions.
